The Ugly Duckling

A red duck who cannot swim is born among a flock of green swimming ducks. He's given the nickname "ugly duckling" because he is simply too different. While sitting alone at the edge of a pond, the red duck realizes his wings are a bit bigger than his classmates'. He flapped his wings once, twice, thrice, and quickly fell in love with soaring the skies. Although his hometown visibly and audibly criticized his differences and newfound passion, he put all his focus into strengthening his wings and flying higher into the clouds.

One day, as he was racing for the stars, he saw a green duckling sitting on a cloud. The red duck stopped in his tracks and slowly approached him. "What are you doing here so far up?" he asked. The green duck smiled. "I very much prefer being up here than down in the waters," he said. From then on, the red duck and green duck became the best of friends, finding new and higher clouds to rest on.
