fish the fox plush kickstarter
Designed a Kickstarter campaign to crowdfund my passion project, Fish the Fox Plush. Projected costs were $10,000 for production, fulfillment, and other fees, but we surpassed that goal and raised $16,470 in less than three weeks. This allowed us to double the number of plushes initially requested for.
Prior to developing this plush, several surveys and rough sketches were posted to Instagram, Twitter, and Patreon to confirm the demand for this product. Roughly 84% of my active followers were willing to waitlist or purchase a fox plush and 98% expressed interest, so I found a manufacturer to help me execute this product. It took me six months to finalize the plush design and launch the campaign.
Marketing efforts for creative visuals were comprised of three parts— an introduction of the product (how it looks like and what it is), the product’s functions, and kids interacting with the product. Each part was photographed with different but cohesive backgrounds and lettering (checkered yellows, oranges, blues, varying flat yellows) to grow interest and familiarity with my audience.
Assets were applied to all social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and Youtube) in both video and photo formats. Instagram Reels, Stories, and TikTok posts performed the best and most inquiries came through these posts and email.
I hired a small team to successfully manufacture this product and ship out all orders and preorders in Summer 2022.
